At Construction Ready, we believe the skilled trades should be just as celebrated as careers requiring a four-year degree. That’s why we train people for great-paying, entry-level construction jobs— so they can earn a comfortable living, do work they enjoy, and build fulfilling careers without the burden of student loan debt.
We’re a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created in 1993 as the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia (CEFGA). In 2022, we became Construction Ready, a name taken from our flagship construction training program.
Our organization came together when leading construction industry leaders recognized a need for quality construction skills training in Georgia. Skilled labor was then — and remains now — a primary need in the construction industry.
Recruit people of all ages and backgrounds who want to work in the trades
They miss out because they don’t realize that the trades are a viable career path.
In the construction industry, there are numerous job and career opportunities with earning potential similar to jobs that require college. To begin a construction career, you also don’t have to take on student loan debt or leave the workforce for four years to work on a degree.
At Construction Ready, we prepare people for stable construction jobs that offer competitive pay and a clear path to a fulfilling career.
Enroll in our nationally recognized program, which provides construction training and job placement. We currently offer training in multiple cities throughout Georgia.
This 20-day training program promotes construction as a career with focused, intensive training and the placement of graduates in stable construction jobs with advancement potential. Earning up to eight industry-recognized credentials, graduates are trained, credentialed, and ready to work.
Construction Ready PLUS, a 15-week curriculum, allows working graduates to earn advanced credentials.
Our K-12 construction programs provide everything schools need to bring construction back to the classroom. At Construction Ready, we work closely with schools to start construction classes, connect kids with apprenticeships, host construction events, and facilitate employer introductions. Participating high school seniors graduate with the credentials they need to begin a construction career.
Construction Ready is the largest NCCER Accredited Training Organization in the state. Our K-12 Program works closely with the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to provide support and services to skilled trade construction programs statewide with 17,000 enrolled students.
The Construction Ready CareerEXPO gives employers a way to engage with young people and connect with their future workforce.
By linking students directly to professionals in construction, utility contracting, highway contracting, electrical contracting, mechanical contracting, energy, mining, and more, the CareerEXPO gets young people excited about the industry and helps ensure the new generation is aware of career opportunities in construction.
The event includes the SkillsUSA State Championships, a competition that lets students test their skills in several construction-related disciplines. These events have become increasingly successful, drawing a record 9,000+ attendees in 2019.
